Why Your Medical Practice Needs Positive Web Reviews
Today, when most people want information, they go straight to the web, which means that if you have a medical practice, you want to make sure you post your positive reviews, and glowing testimonials online.
Most people make decisions on who they're going to do business with based on what they read after doing a Google search, and having no information is just as bad as having bad information.
How To Get Reviews
Many businesses don't aggressively go after getting testimonials or reviews from their customers, and instead to prefer to wait for someone to say something positive.
However, people are more likely to complain if they have a bad experience than they are to praise you if they have a good experience - it's just human nature. That's why it's wise for you as a doctor to actively solicit customer testimonials.
If you successfully treated a patient, and you believe she had a good experience, ask her if she'd be willing to write up a little testimonial. Most people will be glad to help out a trusted business, but you have to ask.
Where To Put The Reviews
Once you get a number of positive testimonials and reviews you can start putting them on your website. If you've done a good job at optimizing your site for Google searches, people will naturally find their way to your site when they type in the right keywords.
Another helpful way to disburse your positive reviews is to write articles and post them to article directories like E-Zine Articles. The key is that you can't write articles that are blatant ads for your business, so try writing about some aspect of the treatment you provide, and then inserting a customer testimonial within the article.
As long as the article is primarily filled with good information for readers, they'll get posted.
The good thing about having articles out there is that it adds more options for Google to find what you want it to find, which is positive reviews.
What you want to remember is that, regardless of whether you have a website or not, people ARE going to look online for you before they do anything. Even if you don't have a website, you should still do what you can to get some positive patient reviews on the web if you want the people who go there to do business with you.
